Dr Taz is one of our Senior Dental Surgeons, he has an extensive experience in all aspects of dentistry. With 14 years of private and public service positions, he practiced around South Australia at major dental centres in Adelaide and rural regions.
He has also been teaching and tutoring young dental students at Adelaide University. His students knows him to be passionate about the professional conduct and fine touches that makes the job flawless.
His genuine interest in cosmetics and Digital Dentistry made him long relationships with his patients and staff at his current practice in Norwood. He has particular interest and talent in Smile Designs and cosmetic Veneers and ceramic restorations.
Taz always believes in prevention as an integral part of his ongoing dental care. Giving priority of the patient needs and expectations combined with thorough communication and excellence are his foundations in delivering beyond just good dental experience.
He regularly attends many up to date trainings and courses on advanced dental technology so he always provides latest lines of treatments using cutting edge technology and equipment which he loves as his big boy toys.
As family man, father of two little handsome boys, he spends much time with his family. He spends his spare time playing Tennis and cheering for his favourite soccer team
Edwina Plueckhahn

Dr Samy Kafagy

Dr Kafagy is one our Senior Dental Surgeons, He doesn’t take dentistry only as a job, it is what he truly loves to do. He has over 20 years of rich experience in rural and metropolitan practices in South Australia and overseas.

He is experienced in a wide range of procedures ranging from cosmetic restorations and general oral care up to surgeries like wisdom teeth removal and complex implant dentistry. Which makes him very experienced in full mouth make overs and restoration of great smiles and efficient function to his patients.

His basic surgical training was in Cambridge UK. Currently, he holds a Fellowship of implant oral surgery from the University of Miami – USA, and he is an accredited dental Surgeon by the Australian Society of Implant Dentistry.

He completed his post graduate studies in the UK. He attends, lectures and also mentors many workshops and courses about new technologies and concepts all around the globe.

He is also a proud board member MINEC Australia as a lecturer and mentor to many dentists in Australia. He is teaching and lecturing Dental implantology with main focus on 3D radiology and guided CAD CAM SURGERIES which he had extensive training on at King’s College London. Dr Kafagy has particular interest in bone regeneration and new trends of bone creation and grafting using stem cell technologies.

Changing the feeling about dentistry to a new level of comfort and efficiency is what he believes in. Offering his patients sleep dentistry under IV sedation, takes all stress out of his patients minds. He also practices at other major dental clinics in the CBD and southern suburbs.

He also holds membership of the Australian Dental Association ADA.

Chloe Lim

Chloe completed her Bachelor of Oral Health Therapist with Adult Scope at the University of Adelaide. Previously she was a dental technician. Chloe has a passion for providing patients with gentle, well-rounded care. She enjoys working with patients of various ages and empowering them in looking after their oral health. Since her experience she has discovered that she has an interest in periodontal disease management and protecting the smiles of the little ones. During her free time, Chloe enjoys spending time with family and friends, painting and travelling. Chloe is also able to converse in English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Malay.

Jenny Young

Oral Health Therapist

Bio

Jenny Young is a highly skilled Oral Health Therapist with 16 years of experience in Adelaide and the mid-north. 

Jenny was raised on a farm in Mallala and attended Balaklava High School. She then went on to study Dental Assisting and began her career as a dental assistant in the Royal Australian Navy. With her passion for improving the oral health of children, she went on to further studies in oral health therapy at Adelaide University, where she completed her Bachelor of Oral Health in 2004.

Over the course of a varied dental career, Jenny has found her calling in oral health therapy. Good oral care can make the key difference in maintaining the health of the teeth and gums, and prevent a range of bacterial and other problems in the mouth.

Jenny thrives in a role where she can be part of educating the community on the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene, with a strong focus on the prevention of dental diseases.

One of Jenny’s favourite aspects of her role is that she is making a real difference in the lives of children, every day. As an oral health therapist, her role in our practice is to provide the young fellas with their routine check-ups and any dental care that may be necessary in our lovely, calming environment.

Zarli is our caring and friendly hygienist. She enjoys caring for our community’s dental health and is motivated to ensure our patients receive excellent care while undergoing their hygiene experience. Zarli is committed to educating and motivating patients towards both improvement and maintenance of both their oral health and overall health.

Elli has been working in the Dental field since 2017 beginning her dental career as a Dental Assistant. Elli started with us in 2019 when Prime Dental first opened. She has since widened her dental knowledge and learnt to assist with many complex procedures as well as gaining certificates in Dental Radiography and Venepuncture.

Elli enjoys her job and all the details she can look after to provide a professional and safe treatment for patients. She focuses on delivering exceptional care with special attention to detail. Elli has since become our practice manager.

Amy is a local to the region, and has been steadily working in the dental field since 2015. Amy began in dental as a school-based apprenticeship which apprentice, not long turning into a full-time position after completing her certificate III in Dental Assisting.

Over the years Amy has become skilled with assisting many complex dental procedures and is skilled to offer exceptional support to patients from the first hello through to the final goodbye. Amy is friendly, kind and takes pride in her care for patients.

Amy enjoys country music, playing tennis and spending time with her friends and family.
